What I Wore This Week - Aug 1
Another week of (mostly) nursing friendly and sustainable summer outfits that are comfy enough to pal around the house in.
Tuesday - Rain rain go away. The plants are happy, the dogs are sad.
There’s a tropical storm today, lots of downed trees and power outages :(
Love this nursing tank. It’s a dual layer design so it provided great coverage while looking like a normal shirt. These Everlane pants have been a staple in my postpartum wardrobe. I got them when I was only 8 weeks pp and the fabric was forgiving enough to allow the high waist to fit. As always my earrings are from Marjorie Baer. My ears aren’t pierced and she makes the coolest clip-ons!
Wednesday - Lets be real, I don’t get fully dressed everyday. Sometimes a mom bun and sweats are the look of the day.
Waffle Jumpsuit (Tkees sold out, find similar conscious loungewear here)
Thursday - Woke up to a 65 degree morning, so time to bust out a light jacket.
Jacket (old Elizabeth Suzann) | Jeans | Nursing Tank
I am so sad that Elizabeth Suzann as we’ve known it is gone due to COVID economic challenges. If you can snag any of her pieces secondhand, DO IT. I still have pieces from many years ago that have seen some heavy wear and still look great. Hoping this brand can rebuild and make a comeback in the years to come. Note on these Everlane Super Straight Jeans - I am 5’4” and wearing the ankle length.
Sunday - Started the day in a dress, ended up in shorts and a tee.
The tee and shorts are both Levi’s. I got them during their warehouse sale so they are sold out now. The shorts are the High Rise 501 fit. The tee is awesome because it is a hemp blend fabric!
Hemp uses less water and is naturally pest resistant so it is much more sustainable than cotton. The feel is similar to linen, and nope the hemp plant does not have any psychoactive effects. Hoping hemp becomes more mainstream soon since it is a really beautiful sustainable fiber.
