Mini Me Matching Outfits - For Boy Moms

Benji is just waiting to go back to chewing on his hands.

Benji is just waiting to go back to chewing on his hands.

I repeat, never thought I’d be that mom, but once again here we are…

From the moment I took the test, I was 99% sure I was having a boy. Probably dumb luck of a guess, but hey I had a 50/50 shot at being right either way.

Anyways, confession, unpopular opinion, call it what you will: I actually find boys clothes way cuter than girl clothes. Yep I said it. Maybe it’s because I worked in boys fashion for a few years, but I just can’t resist all those little athleisure sets and cozy knits!

Ever since we accidentally ordered the same pair of Allbirds, the hubby and I have been pretty cringy when it comes to cutesy matching stuff. So it’s no surprise I would be even more into matching outfits for Benji and I. The only problem is that most matching outfits are geared towards girl moms, and I wanted to find something other than mommy and me dress sets that we could wear together.

So maybe you’re a boy mom who’s found yourself in the same boat. Maybe you like cute baby clothes, or maybe you don’t care at all :) Either way, I was already making a list of places that had coordinating mommy and me clothes, so all the better to share with you guys!

All of the below also have adorable mommy and me clothes for baby girls as well!

1. Little Moon Society

Womens, baby, and kids sizing. They specialize in hand dyed clothing. The fabric, dyeing and sewing all take place in LA! They have a lot of different colors and silos, but the black vintage stripe caught my eye right away.

2. Maisonette

Maisonette is a shop that curates many different brands. The sizing is brand specific whether it starts at kids or baby. They have an entire mommy and me section on their website that makes it easy to find matching styles from swimwear to pajamas to day wear. Some of the pieces can get pricey so this would be a better place to look for momentous occasions like birthday parties or family portraits.

3. Rylee + Cru

Rylee + Cru releases new styles for both mom and baby (or kid) at each new season launch. They had a lot more matching styles for mom at their SS20 launch, so I hope they bring back more next season!

4. Worthy Threads

More tye dye because its 2020. Worthy Threads has a lot of tye dye lounge wear styles for adult, baby, and kids. This colorway is so nostalgic because it reminds me of the 90s movie theater cups. The white ones with the aqua and purple squiggle! I also like that it’s gender neutral so it can be saved as a hand me down (tye dye will NEVER go out of style in our household).

5. Kyte Baby

Baby and women’s sizes. For pajamas and true loungewear - like the kind you wouldn’t leave the house in, Kyte baby makes the softest stretchiest clothing. They have a whole array of modern colors including more typical “boy” colors like blue and green. But I am just swooning over this clay color from their new fall collection. Also their zippers are 2-way zippers, so they can zip from the top or bottom. I have one of the zip rompers for Benji, and purposefully do laundry so he can wear it again. That’s how good the 2-way zipper is for diaper changes.

That’s the majority of what I have found so far! Also sometimes there isn’t even the need to buy anything new, and you can just coordinate with what you already own!

Have you found any brands that do cute mommy and me sets? If so, let me know!
